Last week’s photo is of Élise, “helping” me set up my lighting for this shoot. Happy Movember everyone.
(PS: yes, week 38 was skipped altogether. I’m not gonna lie, for some reason, I didn’t even take a single photo with my “big” camera. I do have one iPhone photo on instagram from that week, if you’re curious.)

I had set up a strand of Christmas lights in my decorative branches tonight to shoot for a photo project I’m currently working on. (yes, I have decorative branches. My feeble attempt at adding decorating.) Of course, I was using my new 85mm 1.4 lens and Élise was as cute as could be. So I took a whole bunch of photos of her too. This one’s my favourite from the bunch.

Lots of accents aigu in today’s title! Week 3’s artwork is a drawing I made based on a photo I took of Élise at 8 weeks old. I had to go hunting for my coloured pencils to make this drawing. I have a lot of art supplies, still packed away in boxes from our move into our current house (which was over 2 years ago!). Oh the shame. I’m glad I’m getting back into drawing, and that my art supplies are finally seeing the light of day again. No more living in boxes! They are now cluttering up my office.
